Spider ID Request

A Salticidea species presumably, but I don't recognise the markings. Body length 6-7mm.

Looks like a Marpissa muscosa, yes it's a Salticidae species.
Commonly called the fence-post jumper.

Can you give a size and location? This always helps, some spids have a restricted range and their habitat is often quite important.

I see Venger has given Marpissa muscosa, it certainly looks like it. But we don't get them up here, mumble mumble.

6-7mm as stated in the message

Location is far south UK (Arundel WWT), he was indeed on a fence near water.

I think you have an ID, Venger is good and I am ... variable, but that is quite a good shot.

Great, thanks all. Just can't understand why I could not recognise it in Roberts (just don't have the eye yet I suspect).
