New Improved Pics for Spider ID (false widow) in Somerset, Please Help me!!

Hi there,

you might have seen my last post from yesterday, well I am (hopefully) happy to be able to show 2 better photo's that I so so so hope you can identify for me. I noticed on the back theres the banding (aaahh its creepy!)

Though still not particularly clear, it looks like a male Zygiella x-notata to me.
You can remove the covering for a photo, it won't jump out at you as it's not interested in you and can't see you either

are the ones you mentioned common in my area and this time of year, thanks in advance i am so worried especially for my 4 cats

Zygiella x-notata is a very common and widespread species, though as I've said, clearer pictures would be good to ascertain the species more definitely. You needn't worry about any British spider species where cats are concerned.
