Thank you for your nice comments everyone and for your help with identification Jason and No.9 Spider.
I do have a dorsal shot. It's not that good however I'll try and post it later today.

No.9 Spider | Don't know why I typed that in, senior moment I suppose  
There are currently 38 species in the Salticidae (Jumping Spider family) as far as I am aware.

36 in the UK and 4 in the Channel Isles (40 in total), apparentley

Have you got Sitticus distinguendus (Simon, 1868) described from Britain 2003 and Macaroeris nidicolens (Walckenaer, 1802) described from Britain 2002?
I think they were the last additions as far as I am aware.

Yes I do have those, so its 38 in the UK and 4 in the Channel Islands (total 42)
