....nasty! Salticus (yep, probably scenicus i know), but are they breeding.Females abdomen appears to be twisted right round so its totally upside down, more so in other pics i took. Is this normal breeding behaviour for these? seems strange!

W. S. Bristowe has made observations on the matings of around 17 species of Salticids. From his observations it seems that the mating procedure for all the species observed, is for the male in the final act, to crawl on top of the female over her head whilst both are upright position. They are then both facing in the opposite direction, upright and male on top. The male then reaches under the female to insert his palps.
You may have an over enthusiastic spider there, or who knows, a new observation. I'll look out for other accounts.
