| | | Re: Spider for ID please Jason, you are spot on. I have been forced to move away from birds due to the long wait for the repair of my Bigma and so have tried to concentrate on other aspects of nature photography. Sorry for my questions but I have a lot to learn. Thought I would share this site on spiders LONG JAWED ORB WEAVER (Tetragnatha extensa)
which I found when confirming your ID. Looks very useful as a resource as it's based and activities to assist in ID.

Nice to see you investigating a new avenue in nature! It's a whole new miniature world... I started off as a birder, but then during the summer of 2007 ( I began my interest in nature in Dec 2006) they disappeared back to the countryside and I discovered insects, and haven't really looked back since. Feel free to ask questions and we'll do our best to answer them, or make IDs

| | | Re: Spider for ID please Thanks Jason. What is so good these days is the amount of information available and, not to forget, the ability to collect specimens digitally with the camera and not to plunder as was the case in the not too distant past .
