| | | Spider IDs please Found this odd spider in a garden centre greenhouse in Somerset. Is it Uloborus plumipes?
Also found this pair of Wolf Spiders in a Somerset garden. Not sure if there is enough detail for identification but any suggestions welcome
Thanks

| | | Re: Spider IDs please Going by the shape of the abdomen in the first one, I think you're right. There may be similar species, but that is such an unusual shape!
As for the wolf spiders, I think they're Pardosa amentata, (Spotted Wolf Spider). |

| | | Re: Spider IDs please 1: Ulobrius spp, need to see a better photo
2:A Pardosa spp (it could be one of several) - nice mating shot

For the first one I assume that you mean Uloborus sp. - can't find the spelling 'Ulobrius' anywhere. This was by far the best of 3 pictures. Are there many species? |
