There should be some forward pointing spines on the inside of tarsus of legs I & II with smaller spines between the longer ones, when viewed from above. I think something is visible here.
Also there should be some abdominal tubercles which I think I can see both on the photo and video. Just one pair of tubercles for Ero cambridgei or E. furcata. E. cambridgei is the larger, but only just.
I'm not too certain about the colouration, particularly the carapace, but like most spiders they are rather variable.
Does this help or just add to the confusion?

I agree. It looks much paler than is usual, but as Geoff said, spiders are so variable. Its looks combined with its behavior certainly suggest a Pirate Spider. That's an impressive video by the way! |
