| | orange and white striped spider
I expect this is just a common garden spider but if anyone knows anything different we would love to know!! Her web was amazing! It stretched across all plants on the balcony, up and along the ballustrade which is about 2m in length!! She is quite large and was eating a wasp!!
In theory I probably shouldn't be posting on here as it was found in the south of france but I am sure that the species aren't so different across europe.
Hope someone can help!!! |

Hope someone can help!!! | Hi Welcome to WAB. This is a garden spider often referred to as a cross spider, very pretty and can become quite large.
Take care

| | | Re: orange and white striped spider Welcome to WAB, gary .... yes, it looks like Araneus diadematus, the Garden or Cross Spider .... they come in an amazing array of shades within the 'brown' spectrum .... just contrast your spider with the one on my web site - totally different shade/colour .... Garden Spider (Araneus diadematus) |
