in my garden in wet and miserable Lancashire, i have many lace webbed spiders in the cracks of my walls and fences. they are certainly quite a size because i causght one once liiving in Lytham and this was huge. i got the spider and it was very docile didnt make much effort top escape but im sure i could see it jaws moving in much the same way that Dysdera crocats moves its jaws, however i know they move in a different manner. i willl be looking in my garden again tonight with my trusty tourch and try to tell the difference between Amaurobius similis and Amaurobius fenestralis! this is always tricky lol
