What publication is the plate from and do they have a name for it out of interest, assuming you have the book rather than just the plate?
No.9 Spider

No.9 Spider | From the site :- Cite this publication as: ‘Watson, L., and Dallwitz, M.J. 2004 onwards. The families of spiders represented in the British Isles. British Spiders British Spiders - Linyphiidae
I dont think there are names on the site, other than the image links, which does state " Microlinyphia".
The diagram look similar to a spider i have found, but on-line images suggest i may be slightly out, although you cant treat on-line images as sacrosanct .
I will post the image up shortly ... |

| | | Re: Spider ID The illustrations look like Blackwall's and are probably from his volume II. Unfortunately I've only got a copy of vol I. The species was called Linyphia pusilla at the time of Lockett & Millidge (c1950's) and I suspect was at the time of Blackwall (c1850's). There are no other species I can think of with similar distinct characteristics though I would have expected to see the large hooped embolus which is distinct on the palpal organs for this species. Probably down to the angle of photograph.
I think Microlinyphia pusilla is your specimen. Microlinyphia impigra usually lacks the two white patches.
No.9 Spider
