| | Help with spider ID please Hi guys,
I'm trying hard on my own to ID this one ,From the eye set it's Lycosidae, it's about 8mm head and body, anulated legs, quite fast, and only one pic to go on , it vanished under the rocks in the rockery, from the markings on it's back
to go on I found a similar patern on Arctosa perita,
am I anywhere near it ??
tanks in advance,

| | | Re: Help with spider ID please It is so well camoflaged that it is difficult to see what is spider and what is background. All Lycosidae are very variable in colour but your suggestion sounds plausible to me.
Subject to confirmation by one of the experts though. |

| | | Re: Help with spider ID please Yes, spot on with the i.d. Duncan. Beautiful spiders. I've found a few on one of my old collecting sites where they would often conceal themselves under a loose blanket of web on the sand.
