| | Spder nest?? HI I've found what could be a spider nest perhaps in my wood store? It's perfectly round, soft, hollow and about the size of a golf ball - hanging from the roof top inside. Any ideas?? |

| | | Re: Spider nest?? It sounds more like a Hornet nest or a nest of one of the many wasp species. Just keep an eye on it and observe it, you should get an idea of what it is then. They are not like the huge nests of the common wasps that you get, so don't panic and destroy it, it won't get any bigger.
.............and welcome to WAB

| | | Re: Spder nest?? If you don't mind wasps nesting in your woodstore then that is fine, as said by no9 spider.......
If you do then you need to remove it as soon as you can to prevent any more of them returning to proceed with nest building activities!

I think I'll have to remove it as I have grand children playing in the garden and they like to help grandad fetch the wood in.
Never thought of wasp etc - always thought they were large hives.
Big thankyou and great website - will definately tell my friends where to get help
