| | | Opilione ID M. diadema? Hi all
Can anyone confirm that this is Megabunus diadema?
Cheers
Steve
ps. I know they're not spiders but this seems like the most appropriate place. |

| | | Re: Opilione ID M. diadema? It certainly ticks all the boxes for me and with that distinctive ocular tubercle I can't think of any alternative.
There is, apparently, a version which has a shorter 4th spine which goes under the name of M. insignis but I'm not sure if that is still considered to be a seperate sub species.
Where to place opiliones was discussed at length some time ago. Personally I think that the best option is to consider them as 'honorary spiders' and include them here.
Hope this helps a bit.

| | | Re: Opilione ID M. diadema? Thanks both,
It looked right, but I wanted to check that there weren't any others with "punk hairdo's" that I'd missed.
Cheers
