Green Spider ID
Hi, I am new here and know nothing about spiders..

I took this pic on my phone - I haven't seen a green spider before - any ideas?

I would say it is an Immature Araniella cucurbitina (cucumber spider).

The range of choices for green spiders is very small. Are there any small red markings anywhere?

I don't remember seeing any red markings, just the dark (brown/black) spots on its back.

Are they quite common?

Hi Marko, they are a common and widespread species. There is a red spot on this species just above the spinners but on the ventral (underneath) side.
