Looks like an immature male Steatoda bipunctata.
If I'm reading the palps right (any other photos?)
@Jason, yes Steatoda are part of the Theridiidae family

Thanks for your help and interest guys. Unfortunately I only have this one view as the spider didn't move at all while I was watching it. On reflection maybe I should have given it a nudge after taking this pic....
