| | | Zygiella atrica? Found this guy under a tree near some bramble/nettles bushes. approx 6-7mm from fangs to spinners, late October. Classed him as Zygiella due to his extended palps. Any ideas? found in Bristol |

| | | Re: Zygiella atrica? Yep, it looks good for it - I particularly like the orange tip to the abdomen - yep, I think it is! The outdoor location is also indicative - Z. X-n is often found inside, Z. atrica is often out... ...one I wouldn't mind seeing! |

| | | Re: Zygiella atrica? You know when I saw the really small pic I thought it was a Meta sp!...go figure! :P
With larger photo it's easier to see the palpal assembly (what a good name for a band!), with the darkened patella and elongated tibia I'd say you had it right, with Z.atrica.
I'm slightly confused about how mature he is (thought it was summer for maturity but there you go)
Oh and Jason, Zygiella x-notata are found around houses, usually outside (as well as sometimes inside too) Z.atrica is usually found away from house's but not always.
