Red and Gold Spider

Hi everyone!

I was just wondering if someone could i.d this for me? Its a pretty weird looking spider which is gold in colour and has red markings on its back. I found it on the wall of my house which is in Scotland.

In size, it was maybe about 2 centimetres long.

Any ideas?

I believe this is Enoplognatha ovata, though I can't recall if you can tell it from the other Enoplognatha spp. without microscopic examination. The abdomen is quite variable.
