If I remember correctly (without refering back to any books etc) it was originally a N. African species which has been moving north over the past 100 years or so. I think the first UK record was around the 1930's and it appears to be still expanding northwards. |

I found one on the wall of our rented place in Arnside this year, but everything seems to end up there. |
