In a cave not so far away was this pretty big female





actually it was behind a pipe in the alley around head hight. Sorry for the blurred photo but it was the only one i had of her with her back to me - she moved when i accidentally touch part of her web.

Now i don't go prodding round in spider webs trying to catch these things but if they are outside i will photograph from a distance (arachnophobia) - rarely will i entice them out but when i do i can say to you one thing - In comparison Grossa is a far more aggressive spider and will happily sit in its web waiting for a finger, hand etc.... whilst on the other hand Nobilis tend to shy away and will dart back in. Seeing how these two can pack equally potent bites and Grossa being the more widespread i do think the media is being a little unfair.
