| | | Unidentified Spider. My daughter spotted this Spider on railings in Torquay, Devon near the harbour. It was a beauty and I'm so glad she spotted it, I'd have walked right past it. Anyway I think it's a Steatoda nobilis. Can someone let me know if I'm barking up the wrong tree, thanks.

I've read since coming home that people in the Devon area had been taking them to Paignton zoo after finding them. I visited that zoo a few days later, of course not with the Spider, I left it were it was but I wondered why they cause such panic amongst people. A beautiful Spider, thanks again.

It was a first for me and it gave me something to shout about.
