Daddy Long-legs Spider & Prey
Hoovering today.... so many spiders in my house I am ashamed!

Did find this one though, which I think is a Daddy Long-legs spider, holding desperately onto it's wrapped up prey (fly?). Even after I scooped it up in a pot and put it outside it would not let go of it's "black gold".

They're not really an outdoor spider, though I'm sure it'll find somewhere to go.
Sheds, garages, cellars, attics and caves and of course houses seem to be its favourite habitat.

I know.... I just didn't have anywhere else to put him. I expect he will be straight back in through the open windows!
