Spiders and Webs

I had a little look around for the nest , no joy.

I'm was sure it's about the time for A. labyrinthica to be producing egg sacs, but apparently it's late summer, so you'll have to keep watch they are a fascinating construction.

From what I can see Mrs.Fish it certainly looks like A. labyrinthica and so is yours bendog.

I see loads of these webs in Wales when I visit. I've always wondered what Spider lived in there and now I know.

My first encounter with A. labyrinthica was in N. Wales many years ago before I moved here. They were numerous around the Lleyn Peninsula in Gorse bushes.

Hi mrs fish, here is a photo of the spider at the end of the tunnel, I managed to get this image about 2 weeks ago in the Welsh wetlands.
