| | | Arachnid and Prey for ID Hi guys, how's it going. Busy over here!
Found this fella the other day with dinner. Just wondering if we can get some IDs for both prey and predator.
All suggestions welcomed and comments appreciated,
Cheers!

| | | Re: Arachnid and Prey for ID Well I will go as far as I can, then you will get a better answer hopefully.
Spider: Crab spider, Thomisidea, Xysticus sp.
Prey, looks like vine weevil (hurrah) |

| | | Re: Arachnid and Prey for ID Agree spider is a Xysticus crab spider but the weevil prey isn't a Vine Weevil. The weevil looks as though it might be a Phyllobius species, possibly P. pomaceus, especially if on/by nettles. |

Darn I wish it was a Vine Weevil (shuffles off, muttering and shadow-boxing) |
