Photo taken Stony Stratford Nature Reserve. 3rd May 08.
Holding station on the top of a wooden fence post this little character was very well camouflaged and so I almost missed him/her.
Help with identification appreciated.

Looks like an immature male Philodromus species, but couldn't get nearer than that, or I'm not trying anyway!

Thank you all for your help on this one - much appreciated.
I noticed that the right front leg was much shorter than the left front. Am I right in thinking that it was probably lost before the last moult and only partly regenerated?

Good observation! It should be the right size after it's next and final moult before it starts mating and then dies!
