Question Spider ID please
HI Folks,
I'm not sure about this one , can anyone help with the ID, first photo is of the underside of the spider,

It's a Rabbit hutch spider, Steatoda bipunctata and is related to the False widow. It is often seen in outdoor buildings most often in the South-east. The female is active all year, the male is around for early summer to autumn.

I saw my first last week.

The pattern on the underside, as in your first pic, is said to denote Alpha from the Greek alphabet.

The term false widow spider applies to the Steatoda family, not to one specific species.
