Now why am I not surprised . I think it's a myth that they're all so friendly. I have a male that's a darling but the female in my avatar can be quite vicious at times, even with the kids.

They have problems re homing springers as they have short tempers with kids. Maybe its a spaniel thing.

I have one aunt with a cavalier bitch and she is the most gentle, loving dog you could imagine (the bitch, not my aunt). I also have another aunt with an Irish springer bitch and she is boisterous, barmy and barks a lot, but again so charming and friendly (the bitch, not my aunt).
