| | | (Nursery web?) spider ID?? Never been that keen on posting photographs of arachnids in an insect forum, but when in Rome....
I found this spider in our Reading garden today.
Size about 2cm (NOT including the legs).
I originally thought it might be a Nursery Web Spider of some sort.
Not that sure now.
Any arachnophiles out there that can point me in the right direction, if not species then at least genus.
Many thanks for any help.

edited: Its still sitting on the fence, behind my nettles with its two front legs together (on both sides), (its normal resting positon by the look of it), so I asked it what it is, but its staying schtum....

| | | Re: (Nursery web?) spider ID?? A very nice Pisaura mirabilis , and a bit earlier in the season like so many other species. I love the nursery webs these build and they don't back off if you disturb the young in the web either. Spot on photo's as well!
