I found these guys wandering around inside in December in a house in Norfolk but haven't been able to work out what they are.

1:Zygiella x-notata (looks like she could use a good feed)
2:Tegenaria sp (can't id to species level from a photo)
Both are fairly common, and live quietly with us. Z.x-notata can survive well outdoors (usually on window frames) but the Tegenaria will do better indoors (house, cellar or shed) if you were thinking of putting them outside.
