| | | Re: unknown spider Can you repost the photo - this one is messed up
Just copy and paste the forum code.
From the look of it, it looks like an Uloborus sp
Second shot = it looks a little beaten? hope it survived
You must be from the Guilford - Bournemouth area, they have a very limited range and are usually fairly rare?

| | | Re: unknown spider thankyou, from the links you sent i think it might be more likely to be the U. plumipes as it is more distrobuted. Do you know of any good websites of British spiders with pics |

| | | Re: unknown spider Well lets see, they might not be specifically British spiders, but we share many species. Spiders of NW Europe<<a good beginner site (though not eveything is 100%) Nick's Spiders<< another good beginner site. Great British spiders
Remember you can't really give 100% confirmation for just photos, but its a good place to begin.
If you want more details sites, ask and I'll give you some links.

| | | Re: unknown spider I've found Uloborus in three locations, from a garden centre in North Wales, one in Cheshire and up to Blackpool where I found them in Stanley Park in the greenhouses. They were in abundance at all the locations and varied in stages from little more than spiderlings thru' to mature adults. All the specimens from the locations were Uloborus plumipes .
No.9 Spider
