| | House spiders I am coverting my attic and noticed over 50 skins and 5 clusters of eggs belonging to the house spider, how do i remove/get rid of the egg sacks and when do they hatch?????????????????????????????? |

| | | Re: House spiders It shouldn't be too hard to remove the egg-sacs depending upon whether they are suspended or attached to wood or brickwork. If they are viable not suspended then you'll probably find the eggs will go everywhere when the sac gets damaged. You may find they are old egg-sacs as they usually look to be intact. For the sake of a few egg-sacs I'd remove them as you see fit and not worry too much about them, or hold something under them to catch the eggs if you're concerned and just relocate them somewhere dark and warm. Any out of the sac will no doubt provide food for other invertebrates.
The way the weather/climate is at present I'd say they could hatch imminently! other than that I'm trying to remember when I've seen them hatch when I've kept them - possibly April/May?
