| | | Unknown Spider Two photo's of the same species. Different individuals though. Ive found this species in very high levels around a certain site, but not in other areas. The site is mainly pastoral fields, with gorse thickets and it borders oak woodland. Not seen many in the warmer months either.
Sorry about the photo quality, im still messing round with rings etc, as i carnt afford a macro lense at the moment. |

| | | Re: Unknown Spider The abdomen of the first specimen looks either deformed or parasitised, the second looks decidedly immature. From the detail in the photo's it is difficult to pin it to a family from the features that are visible. It is easier to say what it is not. Maybe an immature Metellina segmentata? I'll have another look in the morning it's bit late and tired eyes and brain don't help!

| | | Re: Unknown Spider Venger The body lenght is about 9/10mm (possibly less) Not a realy small spider. No 9. Spider The abdomen of both individuals have have sigilla (pits) on them, as well as others that i have seen, so dont think its a deformity or parasite. (this is harder to see in the second picture).
