| | | Re: Sac Spider You don't have a top down shot do you?
What size is it?
Don't think its a Clubiona sp, looks more like a member of the Gnaphosidae
Looks like a Scotophaeus sp

| | | Re: Sac Spider Nice shots Action_Man, the first of your second two pictures nicely shows the spinnerets which are distinctly cylindrical, typical of the Gnaphosidae.
I'd definitely go with Venger on this one - Scotophaeus blackwalli , as the anterior median (front middle) eyes are noticeably larger than the other eyes, which distinguishes it from the other Gnaphosids.

| | | Re: Sac Spider Thanks both for the ID, the one i had here is quite a lighter colour than the ones i view online, perhaps its shedding at the moment, or has just shed.
Anyway she`s gone now, released back into my kitchen ... |

| | | Re: Sac Spider The colour can be quite variable as with many spider species. I've found mature specimens with abdomens ranging from jet black to a light silver sheen.
Quite a nice looking spider that can shift when it needs to! Named after John Blackwall who lived not far from me in the 1800's.
