| | | Re: Help identifying a spider please Not evolved for indoors, they are just well adapted (evolved is quite a jump! )
Putting things like Phlocus phalangioides and Tegenaria spp outside, well, they'll survive don't worry - they've been around long before we built houses
It's just easier for them in our houses - good lodgings!

| | | Re: Help identifying a spider please Ahh thanks. I should have guessed the rabbit hutch one, it suits it's name, and the other is daddy long legs, which is a better name imo |

| | Re: Help identifying a spider please
Hi all, this is my first post so please be patient. I came across a spider on my bedroom wall the other day and am confused as to its identification. I have not got a pic as yet but I can say it was a tiny little thing, about 5mm (without legs) a creamy colour with a red back. It also had very thin but quite long legs. Any ideas????? You will be pleased with me because after screaming for a few minutes, I have put it into a jar and am feeding it up now until I can identify as not a dangerous creature, and then intend to let it free once more!!!!
Kind Regards, |

| | | Re: Help identifying a spider please Hi Clucket, I'd try googling Enoplognatha ovata for your spider, there are a few of these about at the moment. Does your spider have a single stripe down it's back or two?
Welcome to WAB.
