| | | Re: green spider Cool! It could be sub adult Nigma walckenaeri, males usually have a more yellow/brown thorax.
Though I can't give you a 100% from a photo

Though I can't give you a 100% from a photo | "Cool, a GREEN spider" were the exact words out of my mouth when i found it! Nigma walckenaeri seem to match up with my collins book too, the ivy had large leaves and the all green females. Thanks again for another spider ID venger, i thought you might enjoy this all green one! |

| | | Re: green spider Strangly green is my favourite colour!
You're lucky, they are generally confined to the south-east of England and one or two other places (see map): Nigma walckenaeri
Sadly, yet again, to far south for me to see

Sadly, yet again, to far south for me to see | finally a good reason to be living in this dump of an area! I read it was restricted to the SE but i didnt realise it was just that strip near around the thames valley (and a couple of others). Looks like im on the edge of that strip too!
As for being to far north, I cant take you to the place I found the spider, but if you ever in my neck of the woods at this time of year I can take you to a good wasp spider locality |
