Although the body markings aren't clear, the body shape and the leg markings would suggest a Common Garden Spider, Araneous diadenatus.

I second garden spider. I get these in my greenhouse. They eat all the whitefly and other undesirables that eat my plants. The spiders grow very large in the warm greenhouse they even breed in there.  |
