| | | Re: First reptiles of 2012 What fantastic pictures - and so unexpected. I've never seen a lizard with legs in the UK (we do have slow-worms in the garden, with a particular love of the compost heap) - so I'm both jealous and grateful to you for sharing your photos. |

| | | Re: First reptiles of 2012 Thanks very much. The Viviparous Lizard (aka Common Lizard) is found right across the country and I have a couple of local sites that I can photograph these on. There are some better shots of these Lizards on my website here: http://www.jasonsteelwildlifephotogr...m/reptiles.php
I'm still waiting for the opportunity to photograph the rare Sand Lizards. And I'd also like to photograph the non-native Wall Lizards and Green lizards that have successful colonies in the South of the UK.

| | Re: First reptiles of 2012 Apparently Green Lizards were introduced to where i live (sittingbourne, north kent) in the 17th century but i haven't seen any. I'd be happy to report any sightings.

| | | Re: First reptiles of 2012 Bournemouth is great for all three of our native lizards as well as western green lizards and wall lizards. Hopefully I'll be taking my camera down that way in the Spring at some point.
