I guess it would depend on how many you have in there. |

| | | Re: Tadpoles in Somerset in December??? I know several nutrient poor moorland pools which have 100's of metamorphs overwintering each year.
Adding more tadpoles to a population undoubtedly puts pressure on the resources available for the existing population and does slow down the development of the whole population. |

| | | Re: Tadpoles in Somerset in December??? I too have had overwintering tadpoles. I put it down to poor nutrients in the water. I have also seen Great Crested Newtpoles in the winter in a soft water tank that I used to have.
