Yay! Our first frog :)

Congrats on your first frog it's wonderful to see them, isn't it? I love going out in the mornings and seeing even just one or two in our little pond.

I think what Karen has said is right... it would be better to get your pond sorted and tidied up a bit now so that you don't have to disturb it come spring, which is when the frogs will be looking for places to spawn.

Photos of the pond /ditch, please... we love pictures: and before-and-after ones are especially interesting.

It won't need to rain much to fill up the pond as that area of the garden is always under an inch or so of water every winter. The ditch is about a foot deep and that is always full of water too. It looks like my weekends are going to be busy and I'll need to invest in a pickaxe to get through the rock hard soil I'll see what I can do about photos (there may be a stray chicken or two who always manage to get in frame)
