How long do frogs live for?

Does anyone know - can frogs change their colour? I was amazed yesterday by a lovely red colour common frog, which was wonderfully camouflaged against wet beech leaves. Or had the frog just gravitated to a place that matched its colour?

no matter what others say they definitely can. my single male common frog turns yellowy green in the grass and in the pond is a browny colour. hes turned from browned to yellowy in front of me. however, their colours never stray far from browny greeny yellowy reddish and sometimes blackish.
