| | | Re: Shelter for Frog Hibernation- advice, please That's looking MUCH better! Very inviting for amphibians, and surely the fellow garden users can't object. Think you should rename it Toad Hall, myself... |

| | | Re: Shelter for Frog Hibernation- advice, please Looks great jaelen. Always keep your eye out for more materials too, as you will need to add to Toad Hall ( ) as the logs rot down.

| | | Re: Shelter for Frog Hibernation- advice, please Thanks for the positive feedback, everyone! I've been adding grass and damp leaves to the interior, and a few more logs on top. We've been having regular frog-visitors to the pond, (they seem to like hiding out behind the pond baskets at the moment... the other day three had squashed themselves together there) so I want to make it a place they feel they can hide in if needs be.
The neighbour's cat has become annoyingly persistent. (I'm not going to start a 'cat' thread because it makes everyone cross, but grrrrrrr...... moggie is starting to wind me up) and I've tried to make 'Toad Hall' (ok- I give in to popular opinion on the name ) as secure and feline-proof as possible. |

| | | Re: Shelter for Frog Hibernation- advice, please Here you go, Karen! The Saturator: described as being "fully licensed by M.T. Kalashnikov, creator of the ubiquitous AK47 assault rifle"... this wonderful kitty-soaking device can be yours for only £9.25, courtesy of Amazon!
Well, that's MY Crimbo stocking wish-list taken care of.
The funny thing is- I like cats. No, really- I do!
Had cats I adored when I was growing up...I have to stop and have a chat with any cat I meet if I'm going up to the shops, and I love my friends' cats- if I ever look after them when the friends are on holiday I buy them FRESH prawns from the market. Spoiled beasts.
But when they try and catch the birds in my garden, or eat my froggies.... sorry, Moggies. It's war.
(It's either this, or an electric fence around the pond- don't think the frogs would be keen on that idea, though. ) |
