| | | Frog ID Is this a common frog as the markings are blotches like I have never seen on the other frogs in the pond this one is twice as big as the other frogs too could it be a marsh frog..
I did see some green on it but its under water so hard to tell from the pic there is no green line down its back..

| | | Re: Frog ID It's a big common for sure with some very unusual markings. I have actually seen ones marked similarly many years ago. I once saw one that was bright red but with the black markings that yours has. Very cool frog. |

| | | Re: Frog ID Yes a common frog with very unusual markings - worth sending to froglife I think. Marsh frogs have a different head shape with a longer nose. They're just not as cute as the common frog!
