help adult newts and babies

we drained our pond a year ago idea was to fill it in but not yet got round to it but have now discovered newts in there Ive seen 2 adults but think there's more and can see lots of babies, i just don't no what i should do with or any organization that would want them, i'm in worthing , west Sussex so if anybody can give me advise that would be great

If you really have to fill in the pond then best wait until the autumn when all (or most) of the newts will have left on their own. If however you could leave at least a small pond for them to come back to in the spring, that would be the best.

theres one big problem is that the pond we have the previous tennants built it and its 9ft deep and dont think they can get out unless they can get up the liner somehow

Nine feet deep!!! Goodness. I suppose you could hang something down into the water so they can clamber out - hessian sacking or similar?
