| | | Amphibian ID needed please! Hi everyone,
I've had a visitor to my vegetable patch and need some help from you experts! Please could someone tell me what's ventured into my garden?! Do I have a frog or toad and of what species?
I have a couple of common frog froglings living in and around the pond - will the newbie be a threat to them? Is there anything I should/shouldn't do? My wife has become very attached to the froglings! |

| | | Re: Amphibian ID needed please! It's a female Common Toad- looking for some tasty invertebrates in your garden from slugs to woodlice to insects, etc.
It may well take a newly emerged froglet on land but that is nature. Please just leave your new visitor be + enjoy her presence. |

| | | Re: Amphibian ID needed please! Thanks for the ID - I had thought it would be a toad but wanted to make sure.
Building the pond's the best thing we've done in our garden as the wildlife it attracts is fantastic.
I'll leave her be, let her help keep the cabbages and leeks free of slugs and bugs, just hope our little frogs don't cross her path! |
