| | | Baby grass snake About two weeks ago I found a baby grass snake plus what might have been part of its egg case just inside my open back door. I put the snake outside and it disappeared into a crevice in brickwork in the garden after making its way around a perimeter wall. It was around six or seven inches in length, I guess, and seemed quite lively although I know it is early for a grass snake to hatch and wonder if it might have been dropped by a bird. If so, is it likely to survive?

| | | Re: Baby grass snake It's far too early for this years young. They are nowhere near the development you describe. I'd say it was last years that was coincidentally by something resembling an egg. You did say as much in your post. |

| | | Re: Baby grass snake OK,thanks. Then I guess it may have arrived of its own accord and will hopefully be ok in the garden even though it is in the middle of a very urban environment. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
