| | | Re: Frog Arrivals We had our first frogspawn last Wednesday (14th Feb) - St Valentine's day - sweet. couldn't see those responsible but went out with a torch last night and there is lots of clasping still going on.
Do they ever just cuddle without finalising things, or are they just taking their time?
One smooth newt also in attendance.

| | | Re: Frog Arrivals Today I've counted c30 frogs in my pond + many clumps of spawn. Last year max was c70 frogs, but that was about a month later as we had a cold snap in late Feb. I'm hoping more frogs will be coming + there hasn't been a big reduction in amorous visitors. |

| | | Re: Frog Arrivals Just seen seven frogs in our pond, which is the first year we've seen them so early. As we live in the north west, well lancashire to be precise we are usually way behind with almost all wildlife sightings, maybe we're catching the southerners up year by year!!
