| | | Re: my garden reptiles and amphibians 2011 In addtion to the amphibs, you have 2 bloodworms (the red thingies) which are the larvae of a Chironimid midge, the Wandering Snail Lymnaea peregra and a damselfly nymph which has lost its caudal appendages (these will grow back). |

does anyone know what the shrimpy thing is in the bucket?
i will try to go out at night and see whats about. unfortunately ive found a dead toadlet (looks like it was squashed
i dont think ive seen that froglet after it left (with the wound) or do they heal  |

the froglets have disappeared so i think frog might have got them... as a tip i would say try to make the rest of the garden adapt to the pond so that there are hibernation sites as well as a pond. make sure you leave a patch of grass to grow long and water it with rainwater because my toadlets LOVE this  the frog's probably hiding somewhere because its so hot. ill go out this evening to take some more pics   we had a dragonfly in our pond laying eggs too.

GCN lova | Sweeet!  , ill give a quick description of my back garden  all wild flowers, compost heap, over grown everything  (lol), soon to be compost bin but i need the bit that opens and shuts at the front because its missing that, log piles and lots of forget me nots  , rock pile too
