should tadpoles develop at a different pace

thanks for the pics. i used to live near pond or ditch in a park where part of it is temporary and dries out. sometimes the tadpoles die when it dries out but they retreat under a bridge which allways has water underneath. as its cool ive seen tadpoles with no legs in august under there! they better be careful eaitherway as newts and dragonfly nymphs are resident too.
