We always had at least two or three every morning. But as you have all mentioned I am sure she will go on here way one day. |

It's also very unlikely to bite unless deliberately molested. |

There are some good and not so good wildlife websites for Spanish wild life it is worth a browse for your particular area Dangerous Reptiles and Toads in Spain

What type of animal do you think this would be? | Possibly Egyptian Mongoose, they are in your area and predate snakes.
This is one I came across on the road not too far from you in 2006.
