| | | Adders in Essex. Hey there, I did a post when I first joined and I had a few responses. I've heard of a few good spots to check out so when I get a chance I'll have a look.
If anyone has had any luck recently with spotting them, post here or send me a private message please.
So far I've found a few Natrix natrix(grass snakes) and some slow worms, but I'm looking for Vipera berus(Adders)
Any information appriciated, thank you. |

That is your best source of information. Local Groups - ARGUK | ARG UK
Also look at the Add an Adder site, because it has maps of sightings. Add an Adder Not a high resolution map, but you may be able to work out locations.

| | | Re: Adders in Essex. I know there are a lot of adders at The Wick, Burnham and two friends have unfortunately had their dogs bitten by the snakes. Local Burnham rumour has it that some years back Highlands Park, Chelmsford was cleared of adders and they were taken to Burnham but I am not sure how much truth there is in that. |

Ok thank you Nutty Sorry to hear about the dogs by the way, my old akita was tagged by an adult adder. Rushed her to the vet and she was ok though. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
