help needed!!

please could people give me their views on the following:
how do you feel about the international movement and trade in exotic species.
how you feel about exotic species being kept as pets?
and what do you believe that conservation is?

any help from anyone would be much appreciated.

(Amphibians and reptiles) I think that if everyone was responisible it would be fine providing these creatures had the correct quarantining, providing there are sufficient numbers in their native habitat.

But in the real world I know that there are illegal imports, bad suppliers who don't bother about amphibian and reptile health, and that bad owners often illegally abandon creatures or plants into the wild when they get bored or breed too many. I am sure that if a "good" owner passes them onto another owner, that owner may not look after them well, or may abandon them.

Wild ponds and watercourses have been damaged by the release of highly carnivorous turtles. Non native newts have been released in the past and continue to beed. The current spread of the Chytrid fungus to wild ponds has been blames on imported expotic species.
